Job description
In Platform Operational Support, the team develops software for mission support systems and services for all flying platforms in the portfolio such as the Eurofighter, Tornado, A400M and Eurodrone. Due to the increasing complexity of mission planning, a growing number of mission participants and the need to replan ever faster, new challenges arise for mission planning systems.
The jobholder works as a Software Verification Engineer Mission Support Systems (d/f/m) and the main tasks are:
- Executing software verification activities integrated into the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, software architecture and design, implementation, and software verification and qualification within an agile framework;
- Define, author and execute test procedures for the verification of software requirements and to ensure software quality by regression and performance testing;
- Maintain and expand the existing test suite to ensure automated and robust requirements, regression and performance testing;
- Ensure compliance with DO-278 standards Understanding of tools for project control (Jira, Confluence), requirements management (Jama) and version control (Git) is recommended;
- Embrace agile methodologies by following processes & identifying improvement opportunities.

Qualifications
Education:
Computer Science (at least Bachelor's degree programme) or equivalent qualification.
Professional Experience:
- Good background in SW development with focus on Testing should be presented;
- Solid understanding of software/system testing activities and requirements traceability is required;
- Experience with QF-Test is recommended IT Strong foundation in object-oriented programming languages (Java ecosystem) is necessary Experience with Jira and Confluence should be available.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of development processes (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) is needed.
Personal requirements:
- Strong team player with independent working methods and high quality awareness in an international and multidisciplinary team.
Languages:
German - proficient;
English- fluent.
