Job description

As part of the Airbus Defense & Space team, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Design and execute validation test plans for software and hardware components used in space systems;
  • Flash and configure embedded software onto telecom hardware platforms for testing purposes;
  • Develop and maintain Java-based test tools and utilities for hardware-software integration;
  • Document test results and issues in Jira, and collaborate with cross-functional teams via Confluence.

Qualifications

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Engineering;
  • Strong validation experience is important:
    • Core skills in SW and HW-related tests preferably in Space
    • Familiarity with flashing SW on HW
    • Production of code, debugging, ability to be autonomous in testing & investigating
    • Ability to define & link tests with tech specification
  • Proficiency in in Java;
  • Experienced working in Linux-based environments, including remote system access and control via SSH;
  • Telecoms HW knowledge (instruments) would be a plus;
  • Familiarity with following is preferred:
    • Eclipse dev environment
    • Doors
    • Jira & Confluence
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
