Job description

As part of the HR Support Services Division, you will have the following responsibilities:


• Staff Administration Service and ESA Payroll:
o Preparation of employment contracts following successful application:
o Hiring support (i.e.. payroll insertion) of new staff;
o Contract and position (i.e.. in the organizational structure) administration during the entire employment period, e.g., contract extensions, reassignments to new positions, etc.;
o Ad-hoc (i.e.. request-based) and periodic (e.g., via questionnaires, reporting) verification of entitlements, in particular examining complex cases of entitlement to allowances (i.e.. those that are not handled automatedly by our IT systems);
o Making the necessary payroll inputs for salary and allowances, as well as calculating ad-hoc payments (e.g. untaken leave);
o Systematic monthly payroll verification to a level which satisfies the external auditors;
o Setting up and maintaining structured ex-ante and ex-post payroll verifications with a focus on the ESA-wide payroll operations;
o Assisting the Head of Service in interfacing the external service provider to which parts of the ESA payroll have been outsourced;
o Time and leave management.

Qualifications

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree, ideally in the field of Business or PublicAdministration, Information Technology, Applied Economics, or a combinationthereof;
  • Strong payroll background; must have had specific and in-depth exposure to payrolloperations, preferably in an international context;
  • Very good knowledge and experience with SAP SuccessFactors, in particular forEmployee Central and Recruiting modules (formal SAP certification would be anasset);
  • Once sufficient experience with the daily tasks has been built up, it is howeverpossible to benefit from telework within the relevant site area for max. 30% of thetime;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.

This job is located in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.
