Job description

The job holder works as a Electrical and Functional AIT Engineer (Assembly, Integration and Test) (d/f/m) and the main tasks are:

  • Define and execute electrical and functional tests for optical sub-systems and payloads;
  • Willigness to work in shifts during test campaigns;
  • Define and procure auxiliary test equipment for electrical tests (test harness, break-outboxes, electrical adapters);
  • Create test procedures, execute them and assess the test results (including crimping);
  • Analyze and correlate events to their possible root causes, as well as finding pragmatic solutions to cope with time pressure without arming the flight hardware;
  • Exchange with the project teams in order to provide test strategies that suit the best in terms of quality, time and costs;
  • Participate to non-conformances and support investigations taking into account the company quality standards;
  • Maintenance and management of tooling and infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

Education:

Comparable qualification (at least a Bachelor's degree):

  • Electrical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering / Mechatronics / Technical degree.

IT:

  • Python At least detailed specialized knowledge.

At least one of the following scripting languages:

  • TCL / CCS5, Elisa/OpenCenter is mandatory;
  • Experience with network architecture management required;
  • Knowledge of Bash, MySQL, GIT is a bonus.

Languages:

  • German C1
  • English C1

Work Experience:

  • Experience in functional and electrical AIT for optical sub-systems (including detector and laser sub-systems);
  • Experience in the aerospace sector is a bonus;
  • Experience in Machine Learning / Deep Learning / IA required.

Knowledge:

  • Experience with space standards (ECSS).

Personal requirements:

  • Good communication skills;
  • Willingness to travel and work in shifts over several months.
