Job description

As part of the ESA team you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain the CDF document templates according to the standard and requirements from ESA, the customer and CDF management, within the ad-hoc infrastructure environment (e.g. SharePoint at the time of writing);
  • Ensure efficient and accurate provision of inputs from CDF engineering domain specialists for the reporting, both during and following the Concurrent Engineering activities;
  • Assist the CDF study teams to compile, edit, and maintain the reference output documentation (e.g. CDF final reports, handouts, executive summaries, etc);
  • Prepare, edit and maintain CDF and the overall Section support documentation;
  • Prepare, maintain and manage the publication of procedures and manuals for the effective operation of the CDF services;
  • Record, archive and assist distribution of CDF support documentation, procedures and manuals, study reference material, reports in compliance to data classification and distribution policy;
  • Produce, handle and distribute multimedia material related to the Section and CDF internal (e.g. studies, presentations) and/or external (e.g. SECESA and MBSE conference) events;
  • Maintain and upgrade the CDF Web site, in line with corporate branding requirements in liaison with the ESA Communications and Branding Authority;
  • Provide periodical (bi-annual) Technology Requirements Summary to the Technology Coordination & Planning Office, with information from CDF assessment studies,
  • Support research for time reduction and efficiency increase reporting and documentation production.

Qualifications

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, Information Management or related field;
  • At least 4 years experience with Concurrent Engineering methodology, tools, and applications;
  • Knowledge of the space systems domains, including Mission Analysis;
  • Knowledge of digitalisation, data-driven engineering methods, and MBSE tools;
  • Technical Authoring and Documentation Management, including preparation, editing, and quality control of technical reports, project documentation, and web-based content;
  • Production and Maintenance of Communication Material, including websites, multimedia content, graphics, and knowledge dissemination tools;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
