Key Tasks and Responsibilities

As part of the CSC (Connectivity & Secure Communications department), you will have the following responsibilities:

• Coordinate and contribute to content production and editing, media briefings, executive tool kits, blogs, podcasts, Q&As, fact sheets, white papers and placement of the elements in the different ESA channels, including in support to the re-definition of the CSC Website and more dynamic social media linkage;
• Coordination and contribution to strategic communications campaigns, including in the context of Space2Connect Conference, Space Summit, Safety and Security Conference, specific events and Workshops and the Ministerial Meeting CM22 and beyond;
• Develop a dashboard in support to the steering of strategic communications activities towards CM25 and the implementation of Agenda 2025;
• Make proposals for optimized news flow and pitching including search words and hashtags;
• Make proposals for narrative and implement agreed outlines towards different strategic objectives, including promoting CSC programme action in the frame of connectivity, commercialization and sustainability/green;
• Develop related story boards and support the development of story blueprints, e.g. use cases illustrating strategic initiatives and their socio-economic impact to decision-makers, users and the wider public;
• Propose outreach plan including social media footprint;
  • Other Tasks (Support Function):
• Provide outreach related expert support in fields such as event management, web-site development and content management as well as graphical design;
• Interface with ESA corporate communications to implement communications plan and activities;
• Support to social media activities;
• Propose and initiate new communication activities;

Skills & Experience

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in marketing or communication domains;
• Minimum 4 years of experience related to marketing and communications;
• Significant experience in content production and editing;
• Good knowledge of social media channels;
• Experience in supporting event management;
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
