Functional AIT Engineer

Key Tasks and Responsibilities                 

As part of the AIT department, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Development and execution of functional tests in AIT satellite programs;
  • Review and creation of the test specification;
  • Collaborate with engineering disciplines to coordinate RF testing;
  • Independent development of performance tests;
  • Definition, creation and development as well as execution of test procedures;
  • Support of electrical integration activities, independent preparation, evaluation of
  • Test data and evaluation for the customer
  • Documentation of test results and writing test reports;
  • Operation of the satellite/instrument;
  • Creation and analysis of satellite configuration and documentation;
  • Independent error analysis (NCR investigation).

Skills & Experience

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s level degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering;
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in functional/electrical satellite AIT;
  • Several years of experience in the field of encryption of satellite communication links would be an advantage;
  • Knowledge of TM/TC (PUS) of satellites/instruments;
  • Knowledge of ECSS standards;
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, JAVA knowledge expertise;
  • Very good knowledge of signal generation and RF testing is a prerequisite;
  • Knowledge of TM/TC (PUS) of satellites/instruments would be an advantage;
  • Knowledge in the field of encryption of satellite communications is desirable;
  • Self-responsible and independent way of working;
  • Ability to work in a team and good communication skills;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of German is an advantage.
