System Engineer for Mission Analysis and SSA

HE Space is a successful international space company. For nearly 40 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a System Engineer for Mission Analysis and SSA to support our customer in Germany.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities                 

You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Technical Leader for mission concepts and studies including support to ongoing projects;
  • Requirements and constraints engineering;
  • Conduct mission related analysis Mission simulation and trajectory/manoeuvre optimization;
  • Analysis of end of life/end of mission scenarios;
  • Delivery of inputs to other system subsystems;
  • To contribute to space situational awareness projects by: Requirements engineering and System Analysis;
  • Support system operators monitoring and tracking activities;
  • To support engineering concerning mission, vehicle dynamics topics;
  • To support lessons learnt and knowledge management process;
  • Enhance mission optimization and simulation capabilities from SE perspective.

Skills & Experience

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • Master degree of applied science in mechanical or space engineering or equivalent;
  • The ability to integrate into a team;
  • High level of responsibility, resilience, and organizational skills;
  • Strong space mechanics & dynamics, space debris background;
  • Familiar to common analysis methods and tools (e.g. SPICE, DRAMA, ASTOS);
  • Willingness to work on projects in the defense area;
  • Experience in leading meetings and gather relevant information;
  • Familiar to Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow, Python, (DOORS is a plus);
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of German is an advantage.
