Service Continuity/Anomaly Management Engineer

HE Space is a successful international space company. For 40 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a Service Continuity/Anomaly Management Engineer to support our customer in the Netherlands.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities              

You will have the following responsibilities, supporting the Galileo Programme:

  • Follow up and coordinate the development of required System AIV documentation, test campaign organization notes, test plans, RVMs/VCDs, and test cases/procedures;
  • Participation to RVM Workshops, Test Cases Workshops and Qualification Campaign definition;
  • Completion of Test Campaign organization notes, Completion of SI&V plan coordinated and agreed with the ground segment;
  • Follow up system qualification activities reviewing the evidence contributed by the SIV contractor;
  • Follow up the System Level qualification campaigns;
  • System test witnessing;
  • Support SIV performance testing including INT negative tests, and the day-to-day follow up of the SIV testing activities and maintenance of SIV/IVQ activities planning;
  • Follow up qualification at segment level especially when contributing to system qualification;
  • Track segment delivery schedules and in particular when they will be installed on segment platforms;
  • Ensure follow-up of segment qualification regarding the delivery of required segment level credits;
  • Follow-up of critical segment NCRs in particular when they affect system qualification;
  • Review of test procedures and scenarios, attend TRRs, PTRs, TRBs, review qualification test results, approve the corresponding qualification evidence captured in the system verification control documentation;
  • Participation to TRRs/TRMs/PTRs/TRBs for the qualification test activities;
  • Act as ESA witness for the qualification test activities while following the Requirements Qualification Status;
  • Follow up the verification of system and OPS non-conformances (NCRs, Ars), ensuring that critical issues are solved with maximum priority and maintaining the overall Galileo G1 qualification status;
  • Support the weekly System Non-conformance Review Board;
  • Ensure that NCRs solved at segment level are included in a qualification and/or non-regression test;
  • Support the configuration control and planning process for the Galileo system under development, when needed the ARB discussions for OPS anomalies;
  • SIV representative in ESA System Exploitation CCB, weekly GSOP CCB, and MTP (mid-term plan) meetings;
  • Participate, as requested, in Galileo-related reviews and technical evaluation boards;
  • Ensure the success of Galileo system qualification reviews by supporting the preparation the review, the review of the DP delivered by Industry and the associated discussions in the corresponding panel/board meetings;
  • Support other qualification reviews (segment/external/element) as required.

Skills & Experience

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, physics or Computer science;
  • Knowledge and experience of Galileo navigation system, and in particular of the Galileo Public Regulated Service (PRS) including its operations, architecture and implementation;
  • Experience with ESA Space systems development, verification and review processes and standards is an advantage;
  • Knowledge and experience in system engineering and verification of complex, large-scale secure systems;
  • Design, development, deployment and testing of complex secure systems;
  • Management and monitoring of industrial activities (interfaces with industry, reviews, etc.);
  • Availability and willingness to travel for missions inside or outside Europe;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
