Junior AIT Functional Engineer

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Development and execution of functional tests for the Galileo payload;
  • Support in the review and iteration of the test specification;
  • Support in the definition, creation, development and execution of test procedures;
  • Definition, development, realization and debugging of test scripts;
  • Support for electrical integration activities;
  • Preparation and configuration of test systems for the execution of satellite tests/instrument tests;
  • Preparation, evaluation of test data and assessment in preparation for (customer) reviews;
  • Documentation of test results and writing of test reports;
  • Supporting the analysis of the satellite configuration and its documentation;
  • Support with error analysis (NCR investigation);
  • Ability to work in a team, as well as an independent way of working;
  • Willingness to travel (possibly 1-2 per year for 3-4 weeks to Toulouse);
  • Willingness to work shifts (06.00 to 14.00 and 14.00 to 22.00);

Skills & Experience

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering or Aerospace;
  • Knowledge of detailed functions of Java Unix / Linux ;
  • Language skills: English business fluent / German advanced level;
  • Experience in the field of functional satellite AIT at least 2-3 years
  • Advantage knowledge in high-frequency technology / ECSS standards / TM/TC (PUS) of satellites/instruments
