HE Space is a successful international space company. For over 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a Ground Segment operations Engineer to support our customer in Germany.

Ground Segment Operations Engineer


Key Tasks and Responsibilities

As part of the Ground Operation Team you will have the following responsibilities:

- Support Galileo Mission Ground Segment (GMS) operations preparation and validation activities;
- Support the preparation of GMS Operations Plan including the maintenance of the operational products;
- Prepare, support and execute GMS related system operation validation activities (SVT / SCTC / ETE);
- Prepare, support and execute software engineering activities;
- Ensure/support GMS databases preparation, coordination, synchronization, verification;
- Give support to training and sim campaigns;
- Support internal/external services and activities;
- Monitor performance of ground services and trigger corrective actions;
- Generate and maintain ground/mission operations documentation;
- Follow-up and support reviews and milestones;
- Interact with the management and ground/flight/secure/mission operations team;
- Generate reports as required;
- Take over ground/mission position/duty on call as requested;
- Take over mission engineer position (support of routine, special operations and contingency operations);
- Provide support to GMS users for preparation or execution operations activities;
- Handle incidents and anomalies (writing, processing, and support of review boards).

Skills & Experience

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

- Experience in Ground Operations preparation and execution (ILS or Maintenance);
- Good knowledge of navigation ground segments such as Egnos or Galileo;
- Comfortable using of Linux;
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
